Bringing new energy, leadership and commitment to the Assembly

(SACRAMENTO) – Evan Low (D-San Jose) was sworn in as the representative for State Assembly District 28. At the age of 31, he is the youngest Asian American to be elected to the Legislature in state history.

“It is an honor to serve the constituents of District 28,” said Low. “I grew up in the Silicon Valley and have a close connection with the people here. I am focused on partnership over partisanship. As a freshman member of the Assembly, I hope to bring new energy, innovative leadership and a renewed commitment to core values of creating good-paying jobs, keeping government accountable and protecting our environment to the State Assembly.”

Assembly District 28 includes the southern Bay Area cities of Campbell, Cupertino, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Saratoga, and the areas of West San Jose, Willow Glen, Cambrian, and Almaden Valley in San Jose.

The oath of office was administered in the Assembly Chamber in the State Capitol by California Supreme Court Associate Justice Goodwin Liu.
